What happens when Jesus meets us in our deepest grief?
In Luke 7:11-17, Jesus encounters a widow in the town of Nain who has just lost her only son. She has lost her husband, her son, and seemingly any hope for the future. And when Jesus sees her, He doesn't simply walk by.
He has compassion on her.
Jesus stops the funeral procession, touches the coffin, and tells the young man to get up. And he does.
This isn't just a story about a miraculous resurrection. It's a picture of a Savior who sees suffering, enters into our pain, and has compassion for people who are hurting.
In this message, Pastor Jason Medeiros explores the compassion, authority, and resurrection power of Jesus—and what this passage reveals about the heart of Christ.
