Why would Jesus choose a tax collector?
In Luke 5:27-32, Jesus calls Levi — a man despised by society — to leave everything behind and follow Him. Then He sits at a table surrounded by tax collectors and sinners, proving once again that Jesus came for the broken, not the self-righteous.
